Jerry R. Kiser, 76, of Sheffield Lake passed away Friday March 13, 2020 at U.H. Elyria Medical Center following a long illness. He was born April 1, 1943 in Elyria and lived in Vermilion and Elyria for most of his life. Jerry retired from the Ford Motor Company in Lorain where he worked as an assembler for many years. He served in the United States Army in Viet Nam, was an avid sports fan and enjoyed country music and family gatherings. Survivors include his daughters, Jenifer (John) Adkins and Lisa Kiser; son, Joseph Kiser; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Hale, Jackie Johns and Kim Kiser; brothers, Gary and Terry Kiser. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mildred Kiser, sisters, Judy Jackson and Judith Sares a brother, David Kiser and his twin brother, Jack Kiser. The family will receive friends Friday March 20, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Community of Faith Church 9715 East River Rd., Elyria. The Rev. Kathy Ketchum, pastor, will Officiate. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria.
