Jerome M. "Jerry" Logar 82, of Grafton passed away Tuesday December 8, 2020 following a brief illness. He was born July 9, 1938 in Sheffield Lake. Jerry was a 1956 Brookside High School graduate. He had served in the United States Army, and earned a Masters Degree in Education from Kent State University. Jerry had worked as a teacher with Midview Schools. He was a very active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton, and loved sports. Survivors include two sons; Michael and Mitchell Logar, five grandchildren. Additional survivors include two sisters; Barbara Lamier (Gary), Regina McDonald, four brothers; Louis and James Logar, William and Robert Roth. Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty three years; Sally A., his parents; Louis and Rose (nee: Pilarsh) Logar, a sister; Kathy. Family will receive friends 1-4 PM Sunday December 13, 2020 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria. Social distancing guidelines and a face mask are required. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Monday December 14, 2020 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St. Grafton, Ohio 44044. The Reverend Father John P. Seabold, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Please meet at church. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Grafton.
