Jeanne M. Johnson, (nee-Doebele), 71, of Elyria passed away Thursday February 22, 2018 at her home. She was born December 17, 1946 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Jeanne worked as a secretary at Elyria Regional Medical Center for 22 years, retiring in 2008, volunteered at the St. Mary Church soup kitchen for many years, volunteered with various activities at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton and enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her sons, Robert (Nancy) Johnson and James Johnson; 6 grandchildren; sister, Linda Beug; brother, William Doebele and 2 granddogs. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday March 3, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 708 Erie St., Grafton. The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, pastor will be the Celebrant. Private burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Grafton. Per request of the family, at the conclusion of Mass everyone is invited to the church hall for a luncheon where the family will join them following burial. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the St. Mary soup kitchen 320 Middle Ave., Elyria.
