Jeanette Laubenthal, 87, of Middleburg Heights passed away Sunday March 19, 2017 at Southern Hills Nursing Home in Middleburg Heights. She was born October 22, 1929 in Cleveland and was a lifelong Cleveland area resident. Jeanette worked as a kitchen aide at St. John Hospital in Cleveland. She was lovingly cared for by her sisters, Ruth (Gary-deceased) Hopkins, Celeste (Richard) Grunwald and Mildred (Al) Pesano; survived by brothers, Harold (Cecelia) Laubenthal and James (Mary-deceased) Laubenthal and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rubert and Delphine Laubenthal. The family will receive friends Friday 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Specialists 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. A Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 25, 2017 at St. Peter Catholic Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.
