Jeanetta DeRamus, 71, formerly of Elyria passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021. Jeanetta was a God-fearing woman, a wonderful Mother, sister, grandmother and devoted friend. She was highly respected and instilled in her children the importance of integrity, honesty, and treating others with dignity and respect. Jeanetta was a courageous woman and was highly respected by all. She deeply loved her daughters, her brothers, and sisters, and the most important aspect of her life were her granddaughters Mariah and Gabrielle, who made her heart smile. Jeanetta is survived by her husband, Curtis DeRamua Jr.; her daughters, Kimberly R. Cortes and Stephanie L. DeRamus; her sister Debra and husband Herbert Hancock Kimbrough; her brother, Quwanda Williams and wife Yvette and sisters, Caroline Hale, Rosemary, Jackie, Diane and brothers Tommy and David Lee Jones. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Jones Jr. , Timothy Hamiter, and sister JoAnn Jones. Jeanetta leaves behind many loved ones and her close friend Lee. Due to the pandemic, the family has chosen to forgo a memorial service at this time in order to keep everyone safe and avoid the potential risk and spread of the COVID virus. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. The family request in lieu of flowers and/ or cards all friends, and loved ones make a donation in Jeanetta's name to the charity of their choice.
