Jean Ruth Yocom (nee Meyer), 98, of North Ridgeville passed away peacefully Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a long illness. She was born July 12, 1920 in Pottsville, PA. Jean was a former resident of Allentown, PA where she was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, and also resided in Bethlehem, PA. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include her daughter Carolyn J. Yocom ; sons H. Luther Jr. (Patricia-deceased) , John R. (Nancy) ; grandchildren Elizabeth (Mathew) Sovinski, Allison Yocom; nieces Bonnie Coker, Joanne Bosack, Dorothea Stark; nephew Gary Meyer. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Luther Sr.; parents Roland F. Sr. and Louise P. Meyer (nee Bellon); sister Louise Shuster; brothers Roland F. Jr., James G., Robert L.; niece Nancy Gangloff. Family will receive friends 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM Saturday, January 12, 2018 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 360 Princeton Ave. Elyria, Ohio 44035. Pastor Becki Verbridge will officiate.
