Jean E. Banks, 82 of Elyria, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at her home following a long illness. She was born February 19, 1930 in Elyria, Ohio. Jean was a life- long resident of Lorain County, and had worked I n Grafton at Sparkle Market in the meat department for many years. She loved playing bingo, traveling to Amish country as well as to the Mountaineer Casino with friends. Jean had an unconquerable spirit and zest for living. Jean is survived by her daughters: Barbara Ratliff (Terry)of Elyria, and Colleen Langdon of Wellington; sons: Timothy(Cheryl) of LaGrange and Thomas (Terri) of Spencer. Jean loved her 10 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward and brother Leonard Yost . Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am Friday, June 8, 2012. Fr. John Seabold, Pastor, will be the celebrant at the Chapel of Our Lady Queen of Peace, 708 Erie St., Grafton, Ohio.
