Jannie M. Rogers, (nee-Tennant), 77, of Elyria passed away Tuesday May 10, 2011 at her home following a brief illness. She was born February 16, 1934 in Fairview, WV. And was a Elyria resident since 1971. Jannie was a member of the North Ridgeville Church of God, was a avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indians, Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes sports teams and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her daughters, Debra (Richard) Rogers of Elyria, Kathy (Michael) Keener of Albertville, AL., Nancy (Michael) Born of Snowcamp, NC., Susan (Patrick) Brown of Paulding, OH., Donna (Eric) Hovatter of Elyria, Lisa (Kenneth) Reed of Oberlin; sons, David (Lynette) Rogers of Lorain, Rodney (Val) Rogers of Vermilion Randy (Kim) Rogers of Elyria, Bill (Silke) Rogers of Millersburg; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gail Angelo of Turtle Creek, PA. and Winnie Michael of Grantown, WV.; brother, Jack Tennant of Sheppardstown, WV.; She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy in 1988, grandchildren Kevin and Stephanie, great-grandchild Benjamin Bellisario V, sisters, Wilma Runyon, Norma Tennant and Illene Tennant, brothers, Ed and Edgar Tennant, son-in-law, Michael Newman. The family will receive friends Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria 322-4626. Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the North Ridgeville Church of God 6000 Lear Nagle Rd. North Ridgeville. Pastor Brian Palmer will officiate.
