Janice E. Tomasek (nee George),78, a life-long resident of Elyria, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville following a long illness. After graduating nursing school she worked at the Elyria United Methodist Home and later retired from Lifeshore Lorain County Bloodbank in Elyria. She enjoyed camping, golfing, cheering for Cleveland Sports teams, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known as "RaRa". Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Gerald Sr.; sons, Gerald Tomasek Jr. of South Euclid, Mark Tomasek of Elyria; daughter, Judith (Raymond) Volney of Vermilion; and grandchildren, Isabelle, Owen and Griffin Volney. Family will announce a Celebration of Life at a suitable time of social gathering later this year.
