Janice G. Chalmers, (nee-Lovejoy), 61, of North Ridgeville passed away Monday May 17, 2021 at her home following a unexpected illness. She was born May 5, 1960 in Elyria and was a lifelong area resident. Janice was employed by the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.) in Brunswick as an I.T. Business Analyst Supervisor for the past 13 years. A 1978 Midview High School graduate, she enjoyed sewing, reading, flower gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Matt; daughters, Kelly Jenkins and Courtney (Pat) Gregory; son, Keith Jenkins; grandchildren, Ava and Gaven; sisters, Linda Komko, Cindy Stokes and Belinda Arbeiter. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Lovejoy, sister, Sandy Douglas and a brother, Ricky Lovejoy. The family will receive friends Saturday May 22, 2021 for a memorial visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Facial coverings and social distancing are required. Private inurnment will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
