Janet E. Nickels, (nee-Getts), 75, of Elyria passed away peacefully on Monday April 8, 2019 at her home. Janet was born May 4, 1943 in Cleveland to Samuel and Florence (nee-Schalois) Getts. She was the eldest of four children, Christine, Samuel and Patricia. She grew up in Berea and was a 1961 graduate of Magnificat High School. Survivors include her sister, Patricia (Joseph) Oroz; son, Matthew Nickels; daughter, Andrea (John) Heffenfelder; grandchildren, Edward (Whitley) Heffenfelder and Parker Heffenfelder; nephew, Joseph and niece Heather Oroz. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Samuel D. Getts. Private graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
