Janet Marie Greene ( nee Elbert) 78 a resident of Kipton for 50 years , passed away Wednesday March 5 , 2014 at Keystone Pointe after a long illness. She was born April 17 , 1935 in Elyria. Janet was a 1953 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. Janet owned the Greene Insurance Agency and also worked at the Kipton Post Office. Her interests were Gardening , Birds , Traveling to Northern Michigan , beachcombing ,Reading , & Crossword Puzzles , . Survivors include her daughters Karen (Richard) Riggin of Norwalk , Susan (Berardino) Bonaminio of Amherst , Mary Greene of Kipton , Amy (Charles) Tarbert of Lexington , Oh. , sons Kevin (Antonio) of San Francisco, California , Thomas (Mary) Jr. of Fort Deposit , Alabama, Richard (Angela) of Sullivan , William of N. Ridgeville , brother Charles of Alanson, Michigan , 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert in 1984 and Ruth ( nee Whitney ) in 1996 , grandsons Cameron J. Greene and Bernardino G. Bonaminio II. Family will receive friends 1-3 PM Saturday March 15, 2014 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
