Jamie Andrews (nee-Dewey), 46, of Elyria passed away May 27, 2024 in Cleveland. She was born April 25, 1978 in Elyria. Jamie was a talented dog and cat groomer known for her skills and passion in caring for animals. Her dedication to her career touched many furry friends and their owners. Outside of work Jamie found joy in various hobbies, including fishing, boating and spending time at the beach. She especially cherished moments spent with her children Austin Andrews, Derek Smith and Olivia Smith all of Elyria and Anna Baker of Wellington. Jamie will be deeply missed by her mother, Debra James of Elyria; sisters, Jenny (Brian) Filko of Oberlin, Gail (Adam) Wissinger of North Ridgeville and Amanda James of Elyria and her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Marilyn Hitchcox, grandfather, Dewey Hitchcox, grandfather James Harmon and stepfather Timothy James. A compassionate soul and loving mother Jamie's memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
