James H. Turner Sr., 85, of Lorain passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain. He was born March 26, 1937 in Stumptown, WV. James was a wonderful, kind man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed bowling, loved baseball and football but his greatest love was for his family. Survivors include his wife of 25 years Gladys (nee Santiago); daughter, Karen (Mark) Neuschaefer; sons, James Jr. (Margie Reeves), William, Adam (Wendy) Burgos and Eric Burgos; grandchildren, Steven Strickler, James III (Tabitha) Turner, Kimberly Ruhl, Danielle Turner, Amber Eary, Jeffrey (Kelly) Turner, Shawn Turner, Gina Burgos, Sonia Burgos, and Anthony Burgos; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Emily Turner, Mason Eary, Grayson Turner; great-great grandson, Karter Turner; sister Wendy; brother, Eugene. He was preceded in death by his first wife Gloria Turner; daughters, Kim Turner, Karla Turner; son, Scott Turner; parents Gail and Dessie Turner (nee Vannoy); brother, Jack. Family will receive friends from 2 PM until time of service at 4 PM Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
