James W. Morrison, 74, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026 at UH Elyria Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1951 in Cleveland to William and Arlene Morrison who preceded him in death. Jim’s family moved to Eaton Township when he was 5 and he graduated from Midview High School in 1969. He worked at USG Interiors (formerly Donn Products) for 47 years as a tool and die maker, supervisor and die technician.
James enjoyed anything with a motor and wheels from an early age. His love of Nascar began when he raced stock cars as a young man. He always had at least one Harley and enjoyed many adventures with his family. Jim was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, The Lorain County Vintage Scooter Club and the Valley City R/C (airplane) Club.
When he grew older, and perfect for the part, Jim loved playing Santa for charitable organizations, especially Angels Haven Horse Rescue where he volunteered in many capacities along with his daughter, Hannah.
James is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deborah, sons, James and Daniel and daughters Katherine (Kevin) Schuster and Hannah. He is also survived by sisters Janice (Patrick) Stanfield and Cathy (Keith Karako) Pike. Jim was also blessed with two grandchildren, Jackson and Sarah.
An informal Celebration of Life and a luncheon will be held Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Penfield Township Hall 41012 State Route 18 Wellington, OH at 1:00 p.m. All who knew Jim are welcome to come and share stories and reminisce. Memorial contributions in Jim’s name can be sent to Angels Haven Horse Rescue 13297 Durkee Road Grafton, Ohio 44044.
