James H. Krueck, 67, of Elyria, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain. He was a hardworking, devoted, and kindhearted man whose life was defined by love for his family, a strong work ethic, and the joy he found in simple, meaningful things.

Born on July 25, 1958, James spent much of his life in Elyria, where he worked as a dedicated laborer for many years. His colleagues knew him as someone dependable and steady, a man who gave his best day after day, and who always treated others with respect. Beyond his career, James had a passion for woodworking. Whether crafting something new or restoring a piece with care, he poured patience and creativity into his projects. He also loved spending time in his garden.

What mattered most to James, though, was his family. He was especially proud to be a grandfather and shared an unbreakable bond with his grandson. Their time together brought him immense joy, and he treasured every laugh, every story, and every moment they spent side by side. James will be remembered for his warmth, humility, and quiet strength. His family and friends will miss his easy smile, his steady guidance, and the love he so freely gave.

Survivors include his children, Kaitlyn and Jacob; grandson, Alexander Stump; sisters, Mary, Catherine, Christine, Karen Shirley, and Agnes; brothers, George and Thomas (Kim). He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Cecilia (nee: Diederich), daughter, Jacqueline Bauer, and brother, John. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57) in Elyria.
