James F. Kee Sr., 79, of Elyria passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born July 26, 1938 in Harmony, W.VA. and was a graduate of Walton High School in West Virginia. Jim worked for United Airlines for 36 years in ramp operations, while with United he was an on-the-job trainer, specialist in scheduling, had a large part in writing training manuals used in the entire United System. He organized and implemented pineapple sales for charity at the Cleveland Air Show. Additionally, he developed airport mapping for support equipment used system wide. Jim also appeared on the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon with a presentation for Jerry's kids. Jim and his wife Adele were co-owners of Castles Wallcovering in Elyria . Jim was a hunter and enjoyed spending time with his wife at their mountain cabin hiking and hunting. When not at the cabin Jim could be found driving his restored 1957 Triumph TR3. Jim was a Mason for over 50 years with the former King Solomon Lodge (Elyria Lodge # 787). He was a loving husband, wonderful father, terrific grandfather and a man of great character. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Adele (nee Miller); daughter Bonnie (Dwight) Bowling of Minneapolis, MN.; son James F. Kee Jr. of Seattle,WA; grandchildren Maxwell, Elliette, and Reeve; sisters Ernestine Cooper and Alice (Mike) Martin; brother David (Terri) Kee. He was preceded in death by his parents Brell and Amanda Kee (nee Rhodes); sisters Nellie Goodwin , Norma Knight; brothers Forrest, William, Kenneth, and Alfred. There will be no visitation or services. Burial Private.
