James H. "Jim" Watson, 70, of Elyria passed away Saturday August 10, 2013 at his home following a brief illness. He was born November 3, 1942 in Hollidaysburg, PA. and was a Elyria resident for most of his life. Jim was employed as a molder at the former Larson Foundry in Grafton for 30 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria, the Elyria Elks Lodge #465, Elyria United Polish Club, the Elyria Moose Lodge and the Vermilion Fish and Game Club. He was a avid Pittsburgh Steelers Football fan and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sherie (nee-Greenlese); daughters, Suzanne (Nick) Snodgrass of Elyria and Rebecca (Aaron) Krumhansl of Fairview Park; grandchildren, Hannah, Austin and Nolan; sisters, Bonnie Aungst of Hollidaysburg, PA. and Becky Pershing of Elizabeth, PA.; brother, Stanley Clear of Elizabeth, PA.; numerous nieces and nephews; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Ken Johan of Texas; traveling companions, Alan and Lois Porter and Gary and Judy Bierly. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel and Maynard Garland. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
