James Francis Geib (Jim), 72, of Lodi, passed away on November 1, 2022 at Fairview Hospital. Jim was born on December 16, 1949 to parents Robert and Elizabeth (nee: Bassett) Geib in Lorain, OH. He worked as an iron worker. He was a great guy that everybody loved. He had a tremendous love of family, friends, and animals. Survivors include his loving wife, (Laura nee: Haas); brothers, Bob (Susan), Don (Donna), Franny (Terry), Rick, and an abundance of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sisters; Barbara Sutherland, Mary Margaret Woost, and grandfather, Fred Bassett. Family will receive friends Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 4-7 PM at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626 with a service at 5:30-6 PM with Jim's brothers and any family or friends who would like to pay tribute to Jim. Burial will be private.
