James "Jim" E. Bassett 65, of Grafton, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at EMH Healthcare in Elyria following a long illness. He was born January 5, 1946 in Elyria, Ohio. James was a life long resident of Eaton Twp. He was employed by GM as a tool & Die maker, retiring in 1999. He was a avid farmer, enjoyed working with computers, driving, working with his hands doing home improvement and on farm equipment. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Trudy M. (nee Johnson); son Timothy J.(wife Cori W) of Fairfax Va.; two grandchildren; Tessa and Ainsley Basset, a sister Judi Bubb (Dan) of Grafton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Doris (Cordova) Bassett. Services are private. Burial will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp.
