Jackie C. "Jack" Jones, 56, of Elyria passed away Thursday January 17, 2013 at EMH Healthcare following a sudden illness. He was born January 26, 1956 in Quick, WV. And was a Elyria resident since 1974. Jack was a self employed mechanic, attended West Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed building street hot rods and going to car shows. Survivors include his companion, Bonnie Kelly; daughters, Bobbi Jo Yost of Lorain, Bobbie Jean Kelly of Elyria and Jackie Jones of Lorain; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Judy Clark of Elyria; brothers, Douglas Jones and Roy Jones, both of Elyria; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Betty Jones, and a brother, Roger "Bear" Jones in 1991. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Fraley will Officiate. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
