J. Norman Weber 86, of Richfield (formerly of Elyria) passed away Sunday May 15, 2016 at Renaissance of Richfield. He was born May 30, 1929 in Elyria. Norman served in the U.S. Army during The Korean War. He retired as a Chief Draftsman following forty seven years of services at Abex/ Manoir Electro Alloys. Norman was a member of St. Mary Church, American Legion Post #12, and enjoyed photography. Survivors include two daughters; Claudia Rinehardt (Philip) of Macedonia, Christine Medwid (John) of Hinckley, two sons; Mark of Elyria, and Brian of Estero, FL. Additional survivors include four grandchildren; Alex, Patrick, Emma, and Evan. Norman was preceded in death by his wife of thirty nine years; Maxine (nee: Thorley) his parents; Leo Francis Sr. and Helen Lucille (nee: Guthrie) Weber, two sisters; Mary Margaret Ball, Helen Bernadine Kubuski, and a brother; Leo Francis Jr. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday May 18, 2016 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where closing prayers will be at 9:30 AM Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Thursday May 19, 2016 at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave. Elyria, OH 44035. Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions in Norman's memory can be sent to St. Mary Church.
