Iva Mae Masters-Collum (nee: Grant) 83, of Elyria passed away Friday August 7, 2015 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a fall resulting in head injuries at home. She was born March 20, 1932 in Detroit, MI. Iva loved spending time with her family; she enjoyed camping, bingo, bowling, and dancing. Survivors include her husband ; James C. Collum whom she married February 2, 1974. Additional survivors include two daughters; Lari Masters of Elyria, Gale Collum-Dial (Dallas) of Texas, five sons; David R. Masters (Sharon) of Lorain, Michael D. Masters (Amy) of Sheffield Village, Ronald A. Masters (Teresa) of Elyria, Patrick G. Masters (April) of Grafton, Edward Collum of Texas, twenty four grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, three sisters; Janet Nadeau (George) of Springfield, OR, Sally Tierney (Jack) of Santa Barbara, CA, Mary Stanfield (Harvey) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, two brothers; Richard Grant (Cheryl) of Springfield, OR, Gary Grant (Wanda) of Springfield, OR. Iva was preceded in death by her first husband; Donald A. Masters in 1970, a son; Kenneth Collum, three sisters; Florence Rivers, Ruth Wood (Ronald), Irene Ray (Harry), one brother; Edward T. Grant, and her parents; Edward and Alice Mary (nee: Martin) Grant. Memorial services will be 5:00 PM Tuesday August 11, 2015 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until time of services at 5:00 PM. Burial will be private.
