Irene Betty Rhodes (nee Spradlin) 82, of Wellington passed away Tuesday August 1, 2017 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born October 25 , 1934 in Stanville, KY. Irene enjoyed gardening, tending to flowers, collecting knickknacks, collecting dolls and especially her family.Survivors include her daughter Jean (Dwight) Cottrell of Wellington; son Dean (Linda) Lewis of Wellington;grandchildren Tina (Sean) Cottrell- Buga, Brittani (Stephen) Norton, Brooke (Chase) Galloway; 8 great grandchildren; sister Margaret (Denver) Lewis of Marion, OH.; brothers Wilburn (Lula) of Alabama, Hurley of Marion,OH., and Walter (May) of Stanville,KY. She was preceded in death by husbands Woodrow Lewis and Kenneth Rhodes; parents John and Eloise Spradlin (nee Stratton); sister Barbara Goble. All services and burial private.
