Idena Virginia Beatty (nee: Brown) 94, of Elyria passed away Thursday July 18, 2019 at O'Neill Healthcare of North Ridgeville. She was born March 14, 1925 in Florence, AL. Virginia was a member of Midway Baptist Church, and had worked as a Nurses Aid for many years. She treasured spending time with her family, loved to cook, clean her home, and work on puzzles. Survivors include two daughters; Virginia Gail Shelton of Columbus, Kelly D. Beatty of Elyria, a son; Roger Beatty (Fran) of Grafton. Additional survivors include six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, a sister; Ruby Parr of Winterhaven, FL. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband; Leslie L., two sons; Leslie "Gene", Phillip "Tracy", her parents; Otis and Velma (nee: Seaton) Brown, and eight brothers. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Monday July 22, 2019 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
