Howard L. Wade, 84, of Camden Township passed away Saturday March 19, 2011 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a long illness. He was born August 7, 1926 in Star City, WV. And was a Camden Twp. Resident for 45 years. Howard worked as a machinist for many years at the Lear-Seigler Corp. in Elyria, retiring in 1989. He served in the United States Army during W.W. II and was awarded the Bronze Star. Howard was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1079 in Elyria and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Kathleen (nee-Wilfong); daughters, Shirley Malinowski and Pamela Dobbins both of Wakeman; son, Wyatt Wade of Elyria; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Wade of Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalie and Olive Wade. The family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Ralph Krall, pastor of LaGrange United Methodist Church will Officiate. Burial will be at Camden Cemetery, Camden Twp. Where members of V.F.W. Post 1079 will conduct full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
