Homer Sanders Cain Jr. 79, of Elyria passed away Monday July 19, 2021 at Westbrook Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Westlake following a long illness. He was born January 23, 1942 in Hialeah, FL. Homer served in the U.S. Navy. He loved his dogs, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife of thirty six years; Patricia A. (nee: Zurowski), daughters; Lisa (the late Michael), of California., Sandra (Charles) of Virginia., Dana (Walter) of Tennessee., Ann Marie (Edward) of Columbia Station, and a son; Harley of North Olmsted, sisters; Catherine (Roger), Carla both of New Hampshire, two brothers; Philip of South Carolina, Eric of New Hampshire . Additional survivors include seventeen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Homer was preceded in death by a daughter; Sheri, his parents; Homer Sanders Sr. and Dorothy (nee: Dubec) Cain, a sister; Ellen and a brother; Kenneth. A Celebration of Homer's life will be 4:00 PM Friday July 23, 2021 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where the family will receive friends from 3-4 PM Friday prior to services. V.F.W.
