Herman Miletzki, 89, of Elyria passed away Friday at his home following a long illness. He was born April 24, 1922 in Cleveland and was a Elyria resident since 1988, coming from Parma Heights. Herman was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Elyria, served in the United States Army during W.W. II, was a life member of V.F.W. Post 1079 in Elyria and enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing horse shoes. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Eileen (nee-McNulty); daughters, Beverly Ann (Bill) Krosky of Las Vegas, NV. And Rebecca Eileen (Chris) Toler of Elyria; grandchildren, Barry, Tony, Rick, Jeff, Krista, Connor, Samantha, and Joseph ; 22 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ed (Betty) Miletzki of Largo, FL.. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Eillen Miletzki, grandson, Chris Albert, and sisters, Adeline Focaretto and Erna White. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. 440-322-4626. Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Paul Jaster, pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran Church will Officiate. Burial will be at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
