Helena V. Bennett, (nee-Kerby), 94, of Elyria passed away Friday May 26, 2023 at U.H. Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born November 2, 1928 in Joker, WV. and was an Elyria resident for most of her life. Helena was a loving mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon (Philip) Anthony; son, Gary (Marjory) Bennett; grandchildren, Jennifer, David, Mark, Kevin, Kyle, Megan, Brigin and Morgan; 10 great- grandchildren; sister, Lucille Basnett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reed Bennett in 2016. Friends will be received on Thursday June 1, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 5:15 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
