Helen E. Guthman (nee Yourkvitch), 96, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022. She was born July 24, 1926 in Elyria and was a 1944 graduate of Elyria High School.  Helen enjoyed ballroom dancing and decorating. Survivors include her daughter, Martha Ann Haynes; son, Cliff (Cheree) Guthman; grandchildren, Scott Krohn, Jason Krohn, Jennifer Daugs, Anthony Guthman and Taylor Guthman; 11 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Roger and Michael; parents, Michael and Anna Yourkvitch (nee Rusinko) and great granddaughter Natalie Krohn. Family will receive friends from 10 AM-11 AM Friday, September 2, 2022 at St. Mary Church (Weigand Room) 320 Middle Avenue Elyria, OH 44035, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery (Lorain). Arrangements were entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria, 440-322-4626.
