Helen Louise Westbrook (nee: Barnhill) 93, of Elyria passed away Tuesday February 26, 2013 at Northridge Health Campus in North Ridgeville. She was born May 9, 1919 in Canonsburg, PA and moved to the area in 1961. Helen was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elyria; she was also a forty four year member of Al Anon, and the Red Hats. Survivors include two sons; James Westbrook (Ruth) of Elyria, Jeff Westbrook (Janet) of Peachtree City, GA., a step daughter; Betty Sue Goodwill of Plano, TX. Additional survivors include five grandchildren; Stacy Phillips (Anthony) of Denton, NC, Jennifer Ivy (Joe) of Mooresville, NC, Kyle Westbrook of Tallahassee, FL and Sean Westbrook of Peachtree City, GA, and David Jarvis of Madison Heights, MI, two step grandchildren; Mike Reynolds of Dallas, TX., Rick Reynolds of OK. Helen was preceded in death by her husband; James Westbrook Sr., a son; David Westbrook, her parents; Frank and Grace (nee: McDonald) Barnhill and three brothers Robert, Stewart, and Richard Barnhill. Memorial services 11:00 AM Saturday March 9, 2013 at First United Methodist Church 312 Third St. Elyria, OH 44035 where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services. Rev. Roger Talbott, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Helen's memory can be sent to the church.
