Helen M. Wangerien (nee: Mazur) 83 of Oldsmar, FL (formerly of Elyria/Lorain) passed away Friday September 30, 2016 at Suncoast Hospice Center in Palm Harbor, FL. She was born March 13, 1933 in Vandergrift, PA. Helen was a member of Holy Cross Church in Elyria, and had retired from Meyer Goldberg. She was a lifelong member of the Slovak Club in Lorain, Elyria United Polish Club, and enjoyed working and socializing with friends at the flea market. Helen was a devoted wife, supportive grandmother, and doting great grandmother Survivors include her loving husband of forty one years; Richard Wangerien, a sister; Betty, a brother; Martin, a granddaughter; Carla (James) Reichlin (nee: Monske) of Elyria, a much loved great granddaughter Heidi-Mae Helena Reichlin, and one step-granddaughter Skylar P. Reichlin. Helen was preceded in death her parents; John and Mary (nee: Zalek) Mazur, a beloved sister; Pauline Black, and thirteen additional brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday October 6, 2016 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626.
