Helen M. Vilagi, (nee-Lament), 78, of Elyria passed away Saturday September 20, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic following a long illness. She was born February 29, 1936 in Cleveland and was a Elyria resident for most of her life. Helen worked as a Real Estate Agent for the Demby Real Estate Company in Elyria for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria and the Elyria United Polish Club. Helen enjoyed gardening, shopping, fishing and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Laura Vilagi (Bob Smith) of Grafton and Connie (Joe) Radocy of Elyria; sons, Dan (Angie) Vilagi of Grafton and Bobby (Sherri) Vilagi Jr. of Litchfield. 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Bailey of Elyria; brother, Chester Lament of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Vilagi Sr. on October 10, 2009. The family will receive friends on Thursday September 25, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Ave., Elyria (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). The Rev. Fr. Charles Diedrick, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. In liue of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Church.
