Helen Thrush (nee Wawrzenczak) 95, of Elyria passed away Sunday January 15, 2017 at Wesleyan Village in Elyria. She was born August 28 , 1921 in Elyria , where she attended Holy Cross Grade School and Elyria High School. Helen was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Polish Club in Elyria. Survivors include her husband of 60 years Thorle; nieces Suzanne Charkosky, Caroline Radyk, Janice (Mark) Godbey, Kristine (Timothy) Ferguson, Kathleen Wallace, Rita Kissner, Carolyn (Joseph) Webber, Patricia (Don) Blinn and Marcia Turay; nephews Joseph (Carrol)Wazyniak and Daniel (Ronnie) Wazyniak; sister-in-law Lilian. She was preceded in death by her sister Caroline Radyk,; brothers Henry, Zigmund and Casmir. Family will receive friends Friday January 20, 2017 from 11 AM until time of Funeral Services at 12 Noon at the Wesleyan Village 807 West Ave. Elyria,Ohio 44035. Rev. Fr. Albert Vegas pastor of St. Agnes Church will be the Celebrant. Burial Private.
