Hayward Lee Wilmoth, 80 of Grafton passed away Monday May 8, 2017 at his residence with family by his side. He was born May18, 1936 in Normantown, West Virginia. Hayward worked for Ford Motor Co.and retired from the Lorain Plant , he was a member of UAW local 425 and 1st Baptist Church of LaGrange. He was an ordained Deacon , loved to work in the church , work on cars and house , traveling back and forth to West Virginia , and a great love for his children , grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hayward served in the Army as a member of the 101st Airborne. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Elaine (nee Barnett); daughters Donna Wilmoth of Elyria, Rita (Ronald) Leach of New London, Brenda Merick of Elyria; sons David (Dawn) of Elyria, Richard of Elyria, Donald of Glenville; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Jessica, grandson Tom Hall, great-granddaughter Faith. Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday May 11, 2017 at the 1st Baptist Church of LaGrange 200 Church St. LaGrange, Ohio 44050, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday May 11, 2017. Pastor Noel Hack will officiate. Burial Brookdale Cemetery (Elyria). Arrangements were entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria. 440-322-4626.
