Harry K. Thomas 73 of Elyria passed away Wednesday February 17, 2016 surrounded by his family at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake, following a 2 year illness. He was born in Belle , West Virginia and was a 1960 graduate of Dupont High School . Harry was a member of Elyria Moose Lodge and American Legion. He worked at the Ridge Tool Company for 39 years as a foreman until his retirement in 2005, and enjoyed golfing , bowling , and wintering in Florida. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Marion (nee Marsh) whom he met in England while serving his Country in the United Sates Air Force ,sons Darren K. (Ann Marie) of Delaware ,Ohio, Adrian P. (Sunny) of Elyria , grandson Gage D. , his 3 cats Tiger, Bootsie and Missy , sister Sue Ann Carpenter of South Carolina , and brother Vernon of Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin H. and Laura J. (nee Bibbee). Graveside services and burial were held at Resthaven Memory Gardens , , with full military honors provided by VFW post #1079. The family would like to thank the Veterans Administration , Sprenger Hospice , and the Nurses and aides at Main Street Care Center .
