Harry E. Husk Jr. 73, of Elyria passed away Sunday July 8, 2018 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center following a long illness. He was born December 22, 1944 in Fairview, WV. Harry served in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from Ford Motor Co. following thirty two years of service. He was a devoted husband and father. Harry enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, trips to casinos, and watching game shows on television. Survivors include two daughters; Virginia K. Halajcio of Crafton, PA., Janet Lawrence of Cleveland, four sons; James Husk of Elyria, Harry Husk III of Crucible, PA., Lyle "Ray" Carte (Judith) of Elyria, James Carte of Steubenville., five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren. Harry was preceded in death by his wife of thirty nine years; Betty J. (nee: Jones), two grandchildren; Michael and Michael, his parents; Harry E. Husk Sr. and Norma Marie (nee: Jones), and a sister; Ada Tennant. Funeral services are 1:30 PM Friday July 13, 2018 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria, where the family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until time of services at 1:30 PM. Pastor Erwin Jones will officiate. Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Twp. where V.F.W. Post #1079 will provide full military honors.
