Gloria Smith, (nee-Getty), 78, of Elyria passed away on August 18, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born March 29, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA. and graduated from Elyria high School in 1965.

She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional Love , strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family.

She was an avid reader, painter and crafter and loved attending craft fairs. She loved watching sports and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Darrell Getty and her husband of over 50 years Floyd C. Smith who passed away on August 8, 2024.

She is survived by her children Colleen "Kelly" Wilms and Bradley D. Smith, both of Vermilion. She was a beloved grandmother to her grandchildren, Erica and Brandon Smith and Nicholas and Tyler Fleming. She was blessed to have 3 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Olivia and Liam. She is also survived by one older brother, Ronald Getty of Tampa, FL.

Arrangements are private and no services are planned.
