Gertrude Cordy (nee: Bittner) 95, of Grafton passed away Monday February 17, 2025 at home. She was born August 29, 1929 in Cleveland. Gertrude had worked at Elyria Memorial Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse prior to her retirement.  She treasured spending time with her family, and enjoyed golfing.  Survivors include her children; Marcia, Sheryl (Dennis), Joan (Joe), Joyce (Dave), Russell (Carol), Alan, Brian (Pam) David (Ruth), additional survivors include nineteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.  Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband of thirty eight years; Donald, her parents; Michael and Mary (nee: Przytulski) Bittner, three brothers and three sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM Saturday February 22, 2025 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St. Grafton where the family will receive guests from 1:00 PM until time of Mass at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Father John P. Seabold, Pastor and Gertrude's grandson the Reverend Father Andrew J. Hoover, Pastor will concelebrate Mass. Burial will be private at St. Mary Cemetery in Grafton. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Gertrude's memory be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
