Gerre Lou Gerken (nee: Cammarn) 77, of Elyria passed away Saturday December 24, 2011 following a short illness. She was born August 9, 1934 in Elyria. Gerre was an Elyria High School graduate, and retired from General Motors Co. as an assembler. She enjoyed NASCAR and circle track racing, and was an avid fan of Mark Martin. Gerre also enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. Survivors include two daughters; Debbie Sword (Jim) of Elyria, Bette Nelson (Mark) of Hahira, GA., four sons; David Jr. of Palm Springs, FL., Chad (Melody) of Elyria, Stacey (Lisa) of LaGrange, Tate (Kelly) of Grafton, additional survivors include fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
