Geraldine C. Thome (nee: Conrad) 94, of Carlisle Twp. passed away Monday August 1, 2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain following a brief illness. She was born March 26, 1922 in Sheffield Village. Geraldine was a member of St. Agnes Church; she loved cooking, baking, and sewing. Survivors include a daughter; Elaine S. Thome of Wakeman, a son; Glen Thome (Louise) of Vermilion, additional survivors include two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband of sixty six years; Leonard A. " Bud" Thome, a son; Wayne Thome, two sisters; Sister Mary St. Martha Conrad S.N.D., Louise Ann Bruder, and a brother; Leroy Conrad. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Thursday August 4, 2016 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where closing prayers will be at 10:30 AM immediately following visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Thursday August 4, 2016 at St. Agnes Church 611 Lake Ave. Elyria. The Reverend Father Albert Veigas, Pastor will be the Celebrant.
