Geraldine M. Spaulding, (nee-Terry), 85, of Elyria passed away Monday November 26, 2012 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home in Amherst following a brief illness. She was born October 17, 1927 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria/Lorain resident. Geraldine was a member of the Lowell Street Baptist Church in Elyria, the Ladies Auxlliary of the church, the Jolly 60's and enjoyed spending time with her pet cats. Survivors include her daughters, LuAnn Manko and Sandra (Jim Oswalt) both of Lorain and Terri (Mike) Morris of Hampton, VA.; sons, Tom (Betty) Spaulding of Elyria and Robert Spaulding of Avon; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Terry of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl in 1991. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Lowell Street Baptist Church 642 Lowell St., Elyria. Her son, Pastor Tom Spaulding will Officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lowell Street Baptist Church.
