Geraldine L. Piscola, (nee-Blaine), 99, of North Eaton passed away Wednesday March 1, 2023 at Arden Courts in Westlake following a long illness. She was born December 11, 1923 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria area resident. Geraldine was a member of the North Eaton Christian Church and was a founding member of the Rebekah Circle at the Church. She was a former Girl Scout Leader for 10 years and enjoyed reading and playing Pinochle. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara (James) Wiley, Marjorie (James-deceased) Frazer and Diane (William) Hoover; grandchildren, Becky (John) Richards, Erin (Paul) Lucido, Greg Hoover and Steven (Caitlin) Hoover; great-grandchildren, Hanne, Daniel and Alex. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony in 2015, sister, Doris Ankney and brothers, Donald and Martin Blaine. The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 7, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. David Chafin, Pastor of North Eaton Christian Church will Officiate. Burial will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
