Gerald Clark "Joe" Callihan 83 of Grafton passed away Sunday November 15, 2015 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake. He was born March 28, 1932 in Alum Bank, Pennsylvania. Gerald was a 31 year employee of Ford Motor Co. until his retirement in 1988. He served in the United States Army , and was a lifetime member of American Legion post # 717. Gerald enjoyed Hunting , Farming and Raising Cattle. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Shirley (nee Kegarise) , daughters Cheryl (George) Haller of Shelbyville, Kentucky , Kimberly (James) McHugh of LaGrange , son Joey (Cindy) Kauffman of Bedford, Pennsylvania , grandchildren Brian and Sean Haller , sisters Jane Miller of Shellsburg, Pennsylvania ,Jenny Basore of New Paris, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Nettie (nee McCreary), sisters Virginia Livingston , Betty Hoffman , Martha Smith , Shirley Wolfe , infant Jean Callihan , brothers Harry , Louie , Victor , and John. Family will receive friends 5-8PM Wednesday November 18, 2015 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57) Elyria 440-322-4626 , where services will be 11 AM Thursday November 19,2015. Rev. Charles Butcher pastor of North Eaton Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery (Eaton Twp.), where full military honors will be provided by VFW post # 1079.
