Geneva R. Gill, (nee-McCune), 87, of Elyria passed away Saturday March 26, 2011 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born August 13, 1923 in Swandale, WV. And was a Elyria area resident for most of her life. Geneva retired from the General Motors Corp. in Parma where she worked in assembly for 30 years. She was a member of the Elyria Baptist Church and the Jolly 60's and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Mabel (Gary) Enderby of Elyria; son, Jim (Karen) Gill of Granville, OH.; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Doris Johnson of Mt. Vernon, OH. And Janet Canfield of Harrison, WV.; brothers, Earl McCune of Ivydale, WV. And Charles McCune of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husbandVirgil in 1999, sisters, Garnett McCune, Lucille Sattler, Evelyn Eskridge and Iris Backus and brothers Harold and Keith Reed McCune. The family will receive friends Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. 322-4626. Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Chuck Leininger, pastor of Elyria Baptist Church will Officiate. Burial will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp..
