Gene H. Brown, 72, of Grafton passed away Monday November 25, 2013 at his home following a brief illness. He was born October 23, 1941 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria area resident. Gene was a member of Cross Community Church in Elyria and worked at Ohio Screw Products in Elyria, retiring in 2004 as a materials manager. Following retirement he and his wife worked as Chaplains at Ohio Screw Products and traveled on many overseas mission trips. He also enjoyed playing golf and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Addie "Chris" (nee-Martin); daughters, Kelly Mitchell of Gainesville, GA. And Amy Schwartz of Vienna, WV.; sons, Jim Jackson of Elyria and Ted Smith of Hebron, KY.; 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Edith Brown and a sister, Carol Ritter. The family will receive friends on Friday November 29, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. at Cross Community Church 525 North Abbe Rd., Elyria. Burial will be at LaPorte Cemetery, Carlisle Twp.. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Seek and Save mission of the God's Glory Ministries International P.O.
