Gary Perkins,67, of Elyria and formerly of Youngstown, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022. Gary graduated from Youngstown's East High School in 1973 and worked at United States Steel McDonald works until he transferred to the United States Steel in Lorain in 1978. He retired from Invacare in Elyria in 2013. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and working in the yard. He had a heart of gold and was loved by all. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia (nee-Vlock); daughter, Laura; son, Matthew (Katie); granddaughter, Kenadie; sister, Joyce; niece Erin (Bill); nephew, Charlie and sister-in-law, Jackie. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (McGowan); father, Arthur and a brother, Charles. Family will honor Gary with a private ceremony.
