Gary J. Gutowski, 69, of Elyria passed away Friday October 9, 2015 at Oak Hills Nursing Center in Lorain following a long illness. He was born January 26, 1946 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Gary was a Sales Representative for the former Moelk Sales Company in Elyria for 38 years. He was a member of the former Holy Cross Catholic Church in Elyria, served in the United States Army, was a member of V.F.W. Post 1079, the Elyria United Polish Club and the Elyria Manor Hunt Club and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife Ann (nee-Thome); sons, Richard and John Gutowski both of Elyria; 3 grandchildren; sister, Diane (Allen) Gerhart of Elyria; brother, Dennis Gutowski of Fairlawn; mother-in-law, Doris Thome of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alice Gutowski and a sister, Jackie Whitman. The family will receive friends Monday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
