Gary A. "Bear" Kayatin 65, of Oberlin passed away Thursday October 24, 2019 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a long illness. He was born December 12, 1953 in Lorain. Gary treasured spending time with family and friends; he enjoyed camping, playing cards, and gardening. Survivors include his loving wife of twenty eight years; Victoria L. (nee: Schneider), a daughter; Nicole M. Everhart of Oberlin, three sons; Eric J. Sutfin of Ft. Collins, CO., Nicholas A. Sutfin (Marissa) of Cleveland, Paul D.J. Nelson (Kate) of Columbia City, IN., additional survivors include five grandchildren, a sister; Kathryn Dent of Middlefield, and a brother; Pastor Louis Kayatin (Tina) of Florida. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; Louis and Helen (nee: Nagy) Kayatin, and a sister; Barbara Tremaine. The family will received friends 4-7 PM Monday October 28, 2019 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
