Fred Loop 87, of Oberlin passed away at home on Friday December 25, 2015 following a long illness. He was born September 14, 1928 in Bushhart, KY. He retired as a welder for Lakewood Manufacturing following thirty four and a half years of service. Fred loved the Lord, and enjoyed hunting when he was younger, playing in a blue grass band with friends, bird and nature watching. Survivors include his wife of thirty five years; Donna Kay (nee: Slanczka), four daughters; Chris Moore of TN, Debby Stanberry of Madison, Luella Rescia (Nick) of FL, Jenny Herron of Oberlin, two sons; Danny Lee Loop of Grafton, Duane Slanczka of Oberlin, a sister; Shirley Pruitt of CA, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; Elton and Gracie (nee: Fischer) Loop, a daughter; Angela Loop. a son; Dan Slanczka, three sisters; Opal, Ethel, Lizzy, and three brothers; Russell, Junior, Charlie.
